Policy on Diversity, Inclusion and Safety
We strongly support the rights of people of all races, genders, ethnicities, nationalities and abilities to participate in our programs. We will not tolerate behavior or language which threatens, berates, or bullies any of our participants and faculty or makes them feel unsafe. Anyone who violates this policy with actions, speech or writing, including but not limited to submitted manuscripts, will not be allowed to join or take part in the Kauai Writers Conference.
Cancellation, Billing and Access:
All online content is available by subscription. Subscribers may cancel at any time by giving notice on their members page. Once any subscriber has given notice of intent to cancel their online subscription, they will have access to the sessions for the remainder of their then-current billing period, and will not be billed further.
All online content is solely for conference registrants and subscribers. It may not be shared, copied or distributed to anyone else without the prior written permission of Kauai Writers, Inc.
Registration fees for the in-person events are non-refundable.
In the event that the in-person event is canceled due to pandemic or other force majeure event, it will be rescheduled and your balance will be applied to the rescheduled event.
If the in-person event is not canceled and you give notice that you wish to cancel your registration for it before July 1, all fees paid for the event will be applied to the next year’s event and to the ongoing online sessions, at the then-current prices.
Change Policy:
In our ongoing efforts to provide the highest quality, most informative, inspiring and enjoyable experience, the Kauai Writers Conference may make changes to the schedule, faculty, course content and topics from time to time. In such event, KWC will use its best efforts to provide equivalent content, but will not issue refunds due to changes.
COVID Information:
Federal, State and County regulations are changing and may be different by the time of the conference. We will fully abide by the applicable regulations at the time of the event. By registering, you agree that you will comply with all of the then-current regulations regarding vaccination, masks, testing and any other required precautions. You also agree as a condition of your attendance that you will hold harmless Kauai Writers, Inc., and its officers, directors, personnel, volunteers, affiliates, conference staff and faculty from any and all damages caused by or relating to your contracting or being exposed to COVID19 as a result of your participation in the conference and any related events.
